Dr. Ford's classes studied Density. They examined the density of 3 different liquids. The liquids layered due to the different densities. They also put different items in the liquids to see which items were more or less dense. #WeAreRHMS

Valentine's Social! RHMS is having a Valentine's social on Friday, February 15th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Concessions will be sold. Advance Tickets are on sale through My Payments Plus for $5.00. Tickets at the door are $7.00. Hope to see you there!! #WeAreRHMS

Dr. Ford's ELT class brought materials from home and worked in small groups to design, build, and test water filters. The objective was to bring more awareness on how water scarcity can impact and inspire children to do their part in conserving water. They poured "polluted" water in each filter and observed the cleanliness of the filtered water. #WeAreRHMS

Ms. Smith's Health Science classes are learning CPR Techniques and how to use the AED. #WeAreRHMS

Ms. Morse's 7th grade class are enjoying learning about the slope of a line! #WeAreRHMS

Southcoast Pediatrics and Bryan County schools have partnered once again to bring you the second session in “How to Survive the Adolescent Years: The Parent Edition.” This session will focus on Technology and Media Plans. Cold and flu season is here and in an effort to keep our students healthy and prevent the spread of illness to others, please adhere to the following Bryan County policy : If your child has a fever of 100 or above, they should not be sent to school. Students may return to school after 24 hours of being fever-free without use of fever reducing medication. Also, any child who has been vomiting should not be sent to school. They may return to school after being free of vomiting for 24 hours. Thank you!

Students in Ms. Matthew's class created 3-D shapes and practiced box folding to support the Geometry standards on Area, Volume and Surface Area. #WeAreRHMS

Students in Ms. Morse's class worked together on solving proportions. #WeAreRHMS

The RHMS Wildcats traveled to Effingham County Middle School for the Coastal Empire Region Duals Tournament. In the first round, the Wildcats faced South Effingham and won 91-6. South Effingham’s only points came from a forfeit. In the second round, the Wildcats matched up with Ebenezer, their toughest competition in the region. Wildcats were able to claim the victory and win 60-26. In the third round, the Wildcats went against Effingham County. Richmond Hill defeated Effingham 81-12. The Richmond Hill Wildcats are Coastal Empire Region Duals Champions! The Wildcats are 11-0 for the season and 45-0 in quad matches or lower since starting the program. Congratulations Coaches and Team!

Students in Ms. Duckworth's 8th grade class used graphs, charts, political cartoons and other primary source documents to investigate the causes of the American Civil War. #WeAreRHMS
