Notice of Public Meeting & Notice of Property Tax Increase FY 2023 Proposed Budget of Bryan County Schools The Bryan County Board of Education has tentatively adopted a 2022 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 7.87 percent. This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 15.075 mills, an increase of 1.10 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 13.975 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $200,000 is approximately $85.80 and the proposed tax increase for a non-homesteaded property with a fair market value of $175,000 is approximately $77.00. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on the proposed tax increase to be held at Bryan County School District Central Office, 8810 Hwy 280 East, Black Creek, GA on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 9:00 AM and Bryan County School District Community Ed Center, 120 Constitution Way, Richmond Hill, GA on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Additional public hearings on the proposed tax increase are at the Bryan County School District Central Office on July 28, 2022 at 9:00 AM.
