Sixth grade students in the Astronaut pod toured the Richmond Hill Wastewater Treatment facility in January where they were introduced to procedures for cleaning waste water. As students learned about various sources of water pollution, they were tasked to design water filters to clean contaminated water.
Today students were visited by community partners, Mrs. Bree Thomas and Mr. Charlie Heino, from the Richmond Hill Wastewater Treatment facility. Students shared their water filter designs with them as they provided advice for improvements.
