Carver Elementary School

Hello!

My name is Erica Smith, and I am pleased to be the school counselor for Carver Elementary School! I hold a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education, with a concentration in School Counseling (K-12) from Georgia Southern University. 

My comprehensive school counseling program integrates ideas and techniques from cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused strategies to encourage adaptive thoughts and behaviors and develop solutions through a goal-oriented approach. The goal of my program is to encourage student development among the three domains of academic, career, and social/emotional development. 

I am committed to providing professional relationships among students, where trust and rapport are established. My role as a school counselor includes providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, academic support, and career development.

I am committed to working with students from diverse backgrounds and believe that all students have the right to be accepted and respected. I strive for equity and inclusion in my work with students!
