After careful consideration and deliberation of numerous factors and information, the Bryan County School District has published the proposed attendance areas for south Bryan elementary schools at the following link:
The suggested configuration allows for enrollment relief at McAllister Elementary; as well as, positions the remaining elementary schools to accommodate new students over the next several years. Recommendations and suggestions from parents, staff and community members were evaluated; as well as, the District attempted to utilize natural points to define boundaries and operated with an overall intent to keep neighborhoods together when possible. In an effort to be proactive, discussions were held with City and County leaders regarding areas of future development and possible expansions of existing subdivisions so as to make certain that areas of high growth were factored into the decision-making process. The draft boundaries will also allow the transportation department to provide more efficient routes thereby decreasing the length and time of bus routes. As a reminder, interested individuals may submit questions or comments via email to email@example.com and/or participate in the second community forum which will be held on December 12, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at Richmond Hill Middle School. Bryan County Schools welcomes your feedback and continued participation in this process.
