Scholarship Information

The guidance office keeps copies of all scholarship applications we receive. These applications are located on the announcement board in the Guidance Office. A list of these scholarships is sent to every senior each month (beginning on October 1st) in the form of the Scholarships Newsletter. It's important to remember that scholarships are competitive. You should apply for any scholarships that you believe you are qualified for as soon as possible. If you have any questions about scholarships, you should contact your counselor.

Georgia Student Finance Commission

The Georgia Student Finance Commission is a valuable resource for students and their parents regarding all forms of financial aid. The GSFC manages the HOPE Scholarship and has a lot of information regarding all types of financial aid. The HOPE Scholarship is available to all graduating seniors in Georgia. The eligibility requirements are available on the GSFC website.

FAFSA

For a graduating senior to be eligible for any financial aid, he/she must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Colleges and universities also use this to determine eligibility for internal financial aid. The FAFSA is available in the guidance office when we return after Winter Break. Colleges and universities have their own financial aid offices whose sole purpose is to assist students in finding methods to fund their post-secondary education. You should contact the financial aid office of all colleges or universities you are applying to. However, the Georgia Student Finance Commission recommends completing the online application.
