Ms. Tuttle's Technology and Engineering students built Skimmers to explore the importance of accuracy of measurement. The students were given Skimmer plans using the metric system. Students had to then draw the parts of the skimmer onto a file folder, cut it out and assemble the skimmer according to the directions. They then used a rubber band taped to the floor to launch the skimmer down the hallway. The “winning” skimmer was built by Gabby Alba (6th grade) and it traveled 90 feet.  #WeAreRHMS
