Carver's 2019 Career Fair will be held all day Friday, February 1st. We are hoping to have parents volunteer to present information about their profession to their child's/children's homeroom, and maybe share their presentation with other classrooms as well. Those parents interested in presenting at Career Fair, please click here to fill out the form. Space is limited and will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In the past, students have truly taken away a lot of information about the education, equipment, tools, knowledge, training, skills, abilities, and responsibilities expected and used on the job. Students have had the experience of watching helicopters land on the campus, climbing aboard Army tanks, walking aboard emergency vehicles, and watching teachers fly high above on fire truck ladder platforms, just to name a few. Several government agencies and local businesses set-up tables in the gym to provide hands on demonstrations and instruction, display signs and photos and hand out information and advertisement trinkets for kids to collect. Kroger has donated plastic bags for students to collect their trinkets in and even food to serve to our guest speakers. Jo McAnn has organized Career Fair for years. Carver would like to thank Jo for her continued dedication to this special annual event.
