Carver students interested in technology will have the opportunity to compete in a county, regional, and statewide competition for the 2017-2018 school year. The county is holding a "Technology Fair and Innovation Expo." which is scheduled for Thursday, January 11th at the Community Education Building here in Richmond Hill. The regional competition is scheduled to take place in Statesboro, GA just one week after the Bryan County Technology Fair and Innovation Expo., while the statewide competition is scheduled for March and will be held in Macon, GA.
The Bryan County Technology Fair and Innovation Expo., scheduled for January 11th, is for students in grades 3rd-12th. The event, while all inclusive, encompasses two sections, a "Technology Fair" section and an "Innovation Expo. section."
The Technology Section of the fair is for students insterested in competing in the following categories: 3D Modeling, Animation, Audio Production, Device Modification, Digital Game Design, Digital Photo Production, Graphic Design, Internet Applications, Mobile Apps, Multimedia Applications, Productivity Design, Programming Challenge, Project Programming, Robotics, Tech Literacy Challenge, and Video Production.
The Innovation Section of the fair is for students who have built innovative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) projects and are willing to demonstrate their problem solving and demonstration abilities.
