Love what you teach...teach what you love. These words describe Carol Hartley, perfectly. Carol is Community Education's certified art instructor and her students can attest to the passion she brings to teaching the subject she loves. For 25 years, Carol has been passing along her love for art to hundreds of Community Education students in Bryan County. Carol currently teaches Art Adventures, a multimedia course for Kindergarten through - 5th grade students. Art Adventures includes painting using acrylics and watercolors, clay sculpture and printmaking. Students in the Drawing and Acrylics class use real canvas just like real artist. This year we've added a Clay Sculpture class using air-dry clay where students will eventually build a clay bust of themselves! Carol Hartley is an artist who loves helping her students love art, too. For more information on joining one of Carol's Community Education classes, call Joan at 912-459-5116.
